Project Manager (IT Change)

6 Month Contract

£550 - £575/day inside IR35

Lorien's retail client are currently recruiting for an Project Manager with experience of IT Change to join on a 6 month initial contract, inside IR35.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of Change management project, working with teams across the business within agreed scope, budget, and timescales. Self-supporting and managing, with limited support provided on a day-to-day basis.
  • stablish, chair, and manage all project steerco and project governance - both internally and externally with 3rd party delivery partners or suppliers.
  • Work to ensure that projects pass relevant governance gates and get internal / external resource commitment approval where necessary
  • Effectively manage all delivery risks, issues and dependency plans appropriately to mitigate impacts on delivery, whilst keeping all key stakeholders informed. Responsibility for escalation paths and issue resolution.
  • Ensure that internal customers clearly understand the expectations of what the project will deliver and ensure that the project meet these expectations.
  • Ensure business stakeholders, and technology users are engaged in the requirements, development & testing to enable technology adoption.
  • Managing the project from design, through development, to handover including the management and execution of daily activities internal and third-party resources.
  • Production and maintenance of project documentation, financial reporting, process management and escalation management to appropriate standards and governance.
  • Responsible for all project financial management, including reporting, forecasting, raising, and managing financial budgets and ensuring effective financial smoothing.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent drive, communication and interpersonal skills are critical, as the successful candidate will be liaising across multiple levels both internal and externally, to Suppliers, Operations, Design, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to drive delivery.
  • Significant IT Project Management experience involving large scale technology deliveries, ensuring that all development is managed, Systems Integration testing is completed and accepted, with User/ Business Acceptance testing.
  • Ability to manage technology development and testing pipeline.
  • Excellent understanding of project management best practices, evidenced by industry qualification(s). Evidence of driving best practices across the company, including teaching, and mentoring less experienced staff.
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and keep to deadlines, being resilient to setbacks.
  • Experienced in delivering projects in multi-discipline models, including Agile & waterfall frameworks, and utilising vendor and partner resources.
  • Experience in Change management
