GPS Recruitment have a great opportunity for a Quality Manager to join a leading manufacturing company in Leeds. The successful person will be reporting to the senior management team and have a flexible approach being responsible for all Quality Assurance issues. You will have experience using quality assurance software to continually analyse and improve standards. Reviewing policies and plan how to improve quality management systems.

**We are looking to talk with Quality Assurance or System Engineers/Managers and also Quality Supervisors who are looking for the next step in their career.

Key responsibilities:

  • Measure performance and recommend improvements continually.
  • Implementation and management of an effective QMS System across the business.
  • Responsible for developing/implementing procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the quality of the business products in accordance with company standards.
  • Auditing / reviewing of all materials provided by suppliers to ensure overall quality standards are adhered to.
  • Development of an effective NCR reporting structure
  • Root cause analysis of defects and recommend solutions for quality issues.
  • Regular Inspection and testing of products and production processes.

To be successful in the role, we are ideally looking for the following skill set:

  • To work towards quality KPIs set by department head, and the ability to collect, analyse and present data, which drives the improvement and achievement of these KPIs.
  • Training/ rollout of quality procedures across the business.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement principles and techniques.
  • Management experience of a small team.
  • Worked closely with R&D/NPD to ensure current and new products meet quality standards.
  • Previous exposure to the Manufacturing industry and ISO9001 standards certification is essential.

The position is full time, permanent and will be based at the manufacturing site in Leeds.
