Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a growing manufacturing business based in North Leeds, who are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join the team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone, who is an expert in machining processes and is passionate about implementing process improvements and bringing new equipment in to the business.As the Manufacturing Process Engineer you will:
- Responsible-Person for CORE Manufacturing-Processes, definition and SOPs
- Design, evaluate, and continually improve manufacturing processes
- Analyse production workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Identify, specify, justify and deliver capital investment projects
- Strategically embed GMP, Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing principles
- Provide technical support & training for production operatives & Team Leaders
- Provide product-technical and process-design support for NPD, NPI and DFMa
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions
- Train and coach others in GMP, Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing principles
- Lead Focussed Improvement (Kaizen) events e.g. value stream mapping, DMAIC, 5S.
- Implement automation and digital tools to enhance data-capture & productivity
- Some travel to sister sites will be required (15%-25%)
To be considered for the Manufacturing Process Engineer role you will need:
- 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role within an Engineering Machining & Assembly Shop
- Degree or HND in Manufacturing Eng, Mech Engineering or a related field
- Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt)
