Multinational Claims Adjuster

We have an exciting opportunity to develop your career within our Multinational Claims team, to provide cradle to grave claims handling across multiple products. Joining an environment that fosters empowerment, development and ownership you will be responsible for efficiently handling a dedicated case load of UK claims for a portfolio of Multinational customers up to a maximum of £500,0000 in claims value. You will also be partnering with colleagues and stakeholders globally providing oversight and authority for overseas claims handled by our network of local offices. This role provides a great career path to further build your personal claims brand with the opportunity to be involved across multiple business lines including Property, Casualty, Financial Lines and Marine.

Your new role

  • Accurately triaging and managing claim files through to settlement, prioritising new and existing work appropriately
  • Enthusiastically seeking to establish liability and indemnity on all claims
  • Delivering a world class service to customers
  • Handling all UK claims competently to ensure that they are adequately reserved and settled as economically and fairly as possible
  • Handling overseas claims which fall under the Master policy in the UK
  • Providing technical support and decision making authority for overseas claims handling outside of local network authority
  • Producing ad-hoc claims reports for stakeholders as required
  • Providing customer oversight for a portfolio of major multinational customers
  • Being part of a market-leading claims team with a focus on quality customer service
  • Take telephone calls and action letters
  • Develop and maintain an in depth knowledge of legal & regulatory matters

About you

  • Have broad experience (minimum of 3 years) of handling cradle to grave claims within commercial lines, whether EL, PL background or complex motor personal injury background or commercial property claims
  • Previous experience managing any Financial or Specialty lines claims would be beneficial but not essential, full training can be provided  
  • Experience of a multinational insurance environment preferred but not essential, full training can be provided
  • Developed investigation and negotiation skills with good analytical skills
  • Relationship management skills with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Effective workload organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Comfortable with manipulating data and producing reports with ability to use MS Office applications, Word and Excel
