Description
- Manage and optimise stock levels in line with company targets
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast needs and manage stock
- Implement and manage an effective stock control system
- Resolve issues regarding delivered stock
- Prepare and present stock level reports to management
- Monitor supplier performance and instigate improvements where needed
Profile
A successful Buying and Stock Controller should have:
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop relationships with suppliers
- Excellent analytical skills for managing stock levels and forecasting
- A good understanding of supply chain processes in the industrial/manufacturing sector
- Experience within the engineering sector would be ideal
- Experience buying through an ERP system
Job Offer
- A competitive salary in the region of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
