Are you an ambitious Assistant Town Planner with around 2 years of experience, looking to take the next step in your career? We are currently seeking a driven, proactive individual to join a dynamic planning consultancy in Leeds.

In this role, you'll work on a wide range of projects, from residential developments to commercial and mixed-use schemes, gaining valuable exposure to planning applications, site assessments, and policy research. This is an excellent opportunity for a Town Planner looking to broaden their experience and work with a supportive and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of planning applications and supporting documents.
  • Conducting site appraisals and assessing planning policies.
  • Engaging with local authorities and other stakeholders to support planning submissions.
  • Preparing and presenting reports, presentations, and planning statements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of planning strategies for complex projects.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Around 2 years' experience in a similar role (either from the public or private sector).
  • A relevant degree in Town Planning (or similar) with a keen interest in urban planning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good understanding of planning legislation and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A team player with a proactive attitude.
