Job Title: Assistant Town Planner
Location: Leeds
Salary: 26,000 - 30,000 + benefits
Are you an ambitious Assistant Town Planner with around 2 years of experience, looking to take the next step in your career? We are currently seeking a driven, proactive individual to join a dynamic planning consultancy in Leeds.
In this role, you'll work on a wide range of projects, from residential developments to commercial and mixed-use schemes, gaining valuable exposure to planning applications, site assessments, and policy research. This is an excellent opportunity for a Town Planner looking to broaden their experience and work with a supportive and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of planning applications and supporting documents.
- Conducting site appraisals and assessing planning policies.
- Engaging with local authorities and other stakeholders to support planning submissions.
- Preparing and presenting reports, presentations, and planning statements.
- Assisting in the preparation of planning strategies for complex projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Around 2 years' experience in a similar role (either from the public or private sector).
- A relevant degree in Town Planning (or similar) with a keen interest in urban planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good understanding of planning legislation and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A team player with a proactive attitude.
