About The Company:

A leading purpose-built residential care home developer, known for over 30 years of innovation, is currently seeking an experienced Town Planner to join their reputable and thriving team in Garforth, Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a well-respected planning team within a close-knit and supportive environment.

About the Role:

The Town Planner will manage planning projects in-house, with key responsibilities that include:

  • Conducting initial site appraisals and evaluations
  • Preparing written reports and submitting all planning application documentation
  • Meeting and negotiating with Planning Officers and other stakeholders
  • Participating in Planning Committee meetings and Appeals as required

Candidates should be ready to take ownership of projects, and a minimum of 5 years of professional planning experience is essential. The firm is committed to providing comprehensive training and support to enhance skills in areas where further development is desired.

About You:
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a town planning role, ideally within a consultancy, local authority, developer, or land promoter setting
  • Communication Skills: High standards of written and verbal communication
  • Attributes: Ambitious, self-motivated, and a genuine team player
  • Interest: A keen interest in the full land and planning process
  • Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence is required
