I am currently representing a prestigious L200 national law firm that is looking to expand its Clinical Risk team by hiring a Clinical Negligence Solicitor for its central Leeds office. Role Overview

The Clinical Risk team is seeking a motivated and ambitious Clinical Negligence Solicitor to handle a challenging yet rewarding caseload of defendant clinical negligence work. You will work with a diverse range of clients, including NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts, MDU, independent providers and medical malpractice insurers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a challenging defendant clinical negligence caseload on behalf of NHS Resolution
  • Draft pleadings, witness statements and letters of response
  • Engage in face-to-face negotiations, mediation of claims and preparation of counter schedules

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in defendant or claimant clinical negligence, or defendant insurance law
  • Ideally 0-5+ PQE, though applications are welcomed from all levels
  • Experience working within an NHS Resolution panel firm is preferred but not essential
  • A strong understanding of NHS protocols, KPIs and business drivers is an advantage
