Sonic Summary

info
  • My client, a leading legal business, is seeking a Construction Litigation solicitor with 0-4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) for their Leeds City Centre office.
  • The role involves collaborating with a newly-joined Partner and a team experienced in contentious construction matters, primarily serving clients in the healthcare sector.
  • Candidates with experience in busy construction disputes teams or those from commercial litigation backgrounds looking to retrain in construction are encouraged to apply.
  • The position offers hybrid working, requiring candidates to be in the Leeds office 2-3 days a week, with ample opportunities for professional development.
  • Salary details were not specified in the job description, but the role is critical to the business and offers significant growth potential.

As one of the world's leading legal businesses with growth across all areas in consecutive years, my client has an excellent opportunity for a Construction Litigation solicitor anywhere between NQ - 4 PQE in their Leeds City Centre office.

The role will be working closely alongside a newly-joined Partner with many years of contentious construction experience and as part of a wider team that spreads across Leeds and Newcastle with a wealth of junior and senior legal resources. My client is very keen to see CVs from candidates who can already demonstrate working in a busy construction disputes team and anyone who has experience working on TCC disputes would be of particular interest. As an alternative, my client is equally keen to consider applications from candidates who are currently working in pure commercial litigation roles who would be interested in retraining and upskilling in order to work on high-value construction litigation projects.

Most of my client's business is focused within the healthcare sector with a number of high-profile groups and organisations. However, there are also bespoke commercial clients that applying candidates will regularly find themselves assisting on a wide range of construction disputes.

Hybrid working is very present in my client's business and any candidates prepared to come into the Leeds office 2/3 days a week can expect to be well-supported and offered plenty of further development opportunities in this business-critical role.

If this sounds like an opportunity that you would be interested in hearing more about, please contact Samuel Higgins at Hays Legal ( / ).
