Position: Deputy Head of Department - Real Estate

Salary: £70,000 +

Location: Leeds and surrounding areas

Hours: Full Time - Hybrid Working

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a caseload of high value real estate property transactions, demonstrating expertise and efficiency.
  • Support the Head of Department and assist with managerial duties
  • Mentoring junior members of staff, including monthly check-ins and and annual performance reviews
  • Organising and leading team meetings
  • Managing team holiday requests and and team scheduling
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring their interests are safeguarded throughout the process.
  • Ensure compliance with firm standards
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, developers, and industry professionals to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Actively contribute to the firm's business development initiatives and participate in networking activities to expand our client base.
  • Assist with budget planning and marketing strategies

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a proven track record in real estate law
  • A minimum of 7PQE
  • Strong background in handling high value commercial property transactions
  • Networking, marketing and business development experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Compliance knowledge
  • Strategic thinker: experience in business planning, marketing and departmental development
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, coupled with a keen analytical mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A strong commitment to delivering outstanding client service and achieving positive outcomes.
