THE JOB

The process of buying or selling a residential property is a major milestone in the lives of many people! An essential part of this process is provided by the legal team that puts all the necessary legal structure in place! You may know of this role being handled by a Solicitor, Lawyer or a Legal Executive. Our Trainee Property Lawyer opportunity in Leeds presents you with a chance to be able to train to do this job!

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You will be guided over an initial 12-month period from our central Leeds office by a dedicated learning and development, training team working with a Conveyancing Manager, Deputy Conveyancing Manager and experienced colleagues already within the business. You will learn about the full legal process of buying and selling residential property (houses, flats, apartments…)

We will teach you about the necessary laws, documents and forms that are crucial in the legal process, contracts, and all other aspects of Residential Conveyancing.

You will understand that communication is key; with customers and clients but also with colleagues internally, and externally to make sure that the process is a smooth and efficient journey.

We will support your learning throughout your time with us and offer you the opportunity to gain a recognised industry qualification via further learning after your initial 12 months!

REQUIREMENTS

You’ll need to be a customer focused communicator! You’ll enjoy interacting with people and be able to enjoy helping clients and solving issues!

You might have worked in a customer service environment. Maybe you’ve worked in retail or hospitality. Perhaps you’ve worked in another field, and you’re ready to experience something different and find a long-term career in the legal industry. All that we require is dedication, and an engaging personality that will help us to help the thousands of home buyers and sellers across the UK
