I am currently recruiting for an experienced Family Solicitor to join a well-established regional firm, based in its Crossgates branch.

You will have over 5 years of experience in divorce and separation, related finance work, agreements, child arrangements matters and domestic abuse remedies.

This role will involve a mix of private and legal aid funded work, requiring experience in handling both funding types. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of family law matters while maintaining high standards of client care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a diverse caseload of family law matters from start to finish
  • Handling cases involving divorce, separation, finance work, child arrangements and domestic abuse
  • Advising clients and representing them at all stages, including applying for legal aid when necessary
  • Drafting court pleadings, statements and applications
  • Attending client meetings, offering advice and advocating in court
  • Responding to new client enquiries
  • Providing support to other fee earners within the family department
