My client are currently recruiting for a Personal Injury Solicitor or CILEx Lawyer to be based at their office in Leeds City Centre. The role involves managing a caseload of military personal injury matters under supervision. This position is suitable for professionals with 3 to 5 years’ PQE, experience in military claims is a must. The military claim types will include defective equipment, training injuries, cold injuries, assaults, discrimination, AFCS claims and noise induced hearing loss claims. The successful applicant will be organised and methodical.  Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to work quickly and efficiently to ensure deadlines are met and their excellent client care standards are maintained.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take the next step in their career.  Hard work and ability will be recognised and in return they offer the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge and build a successful career.KEY TASKS
  • Running a case load of client matters under supervision.
  • Dealing with matters at all stages, from taking the client’s initial instructions through to archiving, in accordance with office and accounts procedures.
  • Obtaining and preparing file documentation.
  • Providing support to other fee earners in the PI department.
KEY SKILLS – ESSENTIAL
  • Professional and friendly client care.
  • Ability to work accurately in accordance with procedures and processes.
  • Ability to present and argue a case orally and in writing.
  • Good and clear communication to deal with clients and other parties face to face.
  • Accurate communication to produce clear and accurate letters and legal documents.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
EXPERIENCE
  •  3 to 5 years PQE with experience in military claims required. 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current Practising Certificate for qualified applicants
