They are currently seeking an experienced Professional Indemnity Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to join their dynamic team.Role Overview:As a Professional Indemnity PSL, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the professional indemnity team by providing high-quality technical legal support, maintaining and developing know-how, and ensuring that the team remains at the forefront of legal developments in the field. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned lawyer with a passion for professional indemnity law and a desire to contribute to the firm's knowledge base and training programs.Key Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain the firm's knowledge base in professional indemnity law, including drafting and updating precedents, practice notes, and other legal documentation.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs and workshops for fee earners to enhance their technical skills and understanding of professional indemnity issues.
  • Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research on complex professional indemnity matters and provide practical solutions and guidance to the team.
  • Client Support: Assist in the preparation of client briefings, presentations, and other materials to support business development and client retention initiatives.
  • Regulatory Updates: Monitor and report on changes in legislation, case law, and industry standards affecting professional indemnity law, ensuring the team and clients are informed and compliant.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with partners and fee earners to identify knowledge gaps and develop strategies to address them, enhancing overall team performance.
Candidate Profile:
  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE in professional indemnity law.
  • Strong academic background and proven technical expertise in professional indemnity.
  • Excellent legal research and drafting skills.
  • Passion for knowledge management and professional development.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Proactive, with a strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
