Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting for an OPEX Manager, on behalf of a fantastic manufacturing business based in West Yorkshire.As an OPEX Manager, you will drive the overall strategy for business improvement, focusing on team leadership, operational excellence, and performance enhancements across the organisation. This senior role will play a pivotal part in shaping the company’s direction by leading initiatives that elevate performance, foster collaboration, and ensure long-term growth.

In this Operational Excellence Role, your responsibilities will include;

  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to implement and sustain a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans that align with business objectives to drive efficiency, profitability, and high-performance standards.
  • Lead teams in root cause analysis and troubleshooting, empowering them to resolve complex issues and improve business outcomes.
  • Coach senior leaders and departments to champion change and adopt effective problem-solving techniques to drive sustainable improvements.
  • Take ownership of the performance monitoring system, ensuring that data is accurately collected, analysed, and used for strategic decision-making and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide leadership in the creation and revision of key business processes, ensuring they are aligned with organisational goals and best practices.
  • Lead and mentor managers to encourage accountability, collaboration, and empower them to develop their teams.
  • Deliver regular performance reports and business analysis to senior management, highlighting key areas of improvement and measurable outcomes.
  • Drive strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing business performance, from operational efficiency to customer satisfaction.

To be considered for this OPEX Manager role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in leadership roles, preferably in continuous improvement or operational excellence within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong leadership and people management experience, with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop teams at all levels of the organisation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing and collaborating with senior management, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Proficient in identifying strategic opportunities for business improvements and leading large-scale projects to successful completion.

Qualifications and Training:

  • In-depth understanding of improvement methodologies, particularly Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience leading high-performance teams through change and operational improvements.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is highly desirable.
