Job Title: Clinical Negligence Paralegal Salary Range: £23,000 to £27,000Location: Leeds City CentreContract: Full Time, Permanent Role Overview & Daily Responsibilities: Assist with managing a caseload of clinical negligence claims, supporting the team from the initial instruction through to resolution, whether by settlement or trial. Help with the investigation process, including reviewing medical records, liaising with medical experts, and assessing the potential of claims. Draft and prepare important legal documents such as letters of claim, witness statements, pleadings, and schedules of loss under the supervision of senior staff. Support negotiations for settlements, assisting with pre-action protocols and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods to secure the best possible outcome for clients. Assist in preparing cases for litigation, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met in a timely manner. Provide clients with clear, empathetic updates on the progress of their claims, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout the process.
