About Us:This is a leading Transport company dedicated to providing exceptional logistics and transportation services across the Yorkshire region. We're looking for an experienced and proactive Depot Operations Manager to join the team and ensure the smooth operation of the transport fleet and delivery service.

The Role:As Depot Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction. You'll manage a team of drivers, coordinate vehicle movements, and maintain high standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage vehicle transport schedules to meet client deadlines.
  • Supervise and support a team of drivers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations, including driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and safety standards.
  • Monitor fleet performance, optimising routes and reducing operational costs.
  • Liaise with clients to provide updates and resolve any transport-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and driver logs.
  • Implement strategies to improve efficiency and service quality.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Transport Manager or similar role in the haulage sector, ideally with experience working with pallet network operations.
  • Strong knowledge of transport regulations (e.g., tachograph rules, DVSA standards).
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in transport management software and IT systems.
  • CPC National/International qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • A proactive problem-solver with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Valid driving license (HGV license is a plus).
