Responsible for the day to day decisions of the transport department, ensuring customer service levels are met.
Raise PO's for defects and handle any queries.
Managing and supporting the clerks, shunters and dirvers in their day to day roles.
Plan and organise workload to ensure that all runs are covered.
Daily reporting on equipment failures, VOR's and service levels.
Identifying training needs of your team through PDP's.
Close liaison with drivers and compliance in line with company policies and procedures.
Ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to with regard to tacho collection, driver hours and transport legislation.
Facilitate a shift hand-over at the start / end of each shift.
Monitoring fuel stocks and maintaining stocks.
