The role:
A key member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to and deputising for the Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading the Warehouse, Pick, Pack, Despatch and Transport operations.
A hands-on role, your key task will be to develop and implement a plan to increase overall operational capability and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Supervise pick pack despatch processes to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate transport logistics to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Set, monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop staff.
Experience:
- Proven warehouse operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of pick, pack, despatch, warehouse and transport operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
