Description
The Engineering Manager will report directly to the Head of Engineering and will:
- Lead, develop and mentor the engineering team
- Implement strategic plans to improve productivity and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Oversee the maintenance and improvement of machinery and equipment
- Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the department
- Manage labour resources (budgets, absences, shift planning etc)
- Manage stock control
- Ensure site remains audit ready within Engineering department
Profile
The successful Engineering Manager will possess a range of the following:
- Competence across Electrical and Maintenance Engineering with relevant qualifications
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing a team
- Experience working within FMCG manufacturing facility
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Excellent organisation skills
- Experience working to BRC audit standards
- Assertiveness and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business
Job Offer
- An attractive salary range of £55,000 - £65,000 annually
