The Project
As an accomplished H&S Site Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing civils works for new build retail projects around Sheffield, Manchester and York. The role will include completing the H&S paperwork, liaising with the clients & contractors, managing the progress of the sites. Due to travelling to multiple sites a good mileage rate will be paid.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
- CSCS
- SMSTS
- First Aid
- NEBOSH
It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
- 5 years + experience as a Site Manager in the Civil Engineering / Construction sector

Duties
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders
- Update and maintain progress reports
- Completing Health & Safety paperwork
- Executing and upholding company protocols and guidelines
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of construction activities on site
- Identify project related issues and oversee they are solved efficiently
- Overseeing and ensuring the upkeep of site facilities and equipment
- Manage and provide support and guidance to the groundworks team
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring efficient progress
- Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers
- Ensure tasks are accomplished according to schedule and within financial plan
- Carry out consistent inspections to verify quality standards are significantly met
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations, whilst upholding a secure work environment
- Manage project budgets and expenses, including procurement of materials and equipment
- Monitor work quality and ensure that construction activities meet specified standards and client expectations
- Stay in regular contact with your team, engaging in ongoing discussions about project updates and handling any issues that may arise
- Maintain precise documentation of site operations, encompassing progress updates, safety evaluations, and daily records
