A fantastic opportunity as arisen to join a leading manufacturer within their flagship Yorkshire Site. The successful Engineering Manager will be responsible for the overall running of the manufacturing plant. You will manage, and supervise a team of approximately 15 Maintenance Engineers to ensure optimum performance throughout the site. The ideal Engineering Manager will utilise TPM principles and Lean Manufacturing to increase efficiency throughout the plant, ensuring tasks are carried out in line with the companies safety policies.Engineering Manager - Key Duties - Manufacturing, Maintenance, FMCG, Asset Care-Create and maintain a safe working environment-Carry out personal development plans with the team to monitor/improve performance-Regular coaching to team-Provide additional support to the Engineering/Site teams to ensure high levels of manufacturing performance-Participate in site improvement and support Lean manufacturing rollout-Responsible for the efficient management of the Engineering budget to maximise the business performance-Ensure all Maintenance and Engineering plans correspond with the national manufacturing/engineering/maintenance strategies-Strive to improve and recognise external developments (legislation/regulatory/technical standard)-Ensure plans are in place to manage the building, plant and other assets of the business-Cost reduction where possible/management of budgets-Delivery of projectsEngineering Manager - Key Skills - Manufacturing, Maintenance, FMCG, Asset Care-3 years engineering management experience within a manufacturing business-HNC or higher within engineering-Previous experience of delivering performance improvement-Previous experience of cost reduction-Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently-Previous experience of PPM-Previous use of CMMS is desirable-Previous experience coaching Engineering Technicians
