Mechanical Site Manager 

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee the mechanical aspects of a large-scale residential development. The successful candidate will lead the mechanical installation teams on-site, ensuring high-quality standards are met while adhering to project timelines and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the mechanical installations for all phases of a large-scale residential project, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and gas systems.
  • Coordinate with other site managers, contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Oversee project scheduling, ensuring all mechanical work meets the required deadlines and milestones.
  • Ensure all mechanical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Provide on-site technical support and guidance to the mechanical team.
  • Liaise with the project management team to report progress, issues, and potential delays.
  • Manage material orders, deliveries, and storage of mechanical components.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Site Manager or similar role in large-scale residential construction projects.
  • Proven expertise in mechanical systems installation, including HVAC, plumbing, and gas systems within residential buildings.
  • Experience managing large teams and working collaboratively with multiple trades on-site.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and residential construction standards.
  • Health & Safety certification (SMSTS or equivalent) is essential.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to problem-solve on the go.
  • Familiarity with project management software and reporting tools is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on detail and quality.
