Bowel Care Nurse Advisor

Full Time: Monday to Friday 5 days a week

Are you a Registered Nurse looking to specialise in Bowel Management and help build partnerships with the NHS to offer improvements to patient care?

In this position you will be joining a global Organisation who specialise in Ostomy Care, Continence Care, Wound & Skin Care and Urology Care. As a trusted NHS partner, our client provides clinical services for patients as well as supporting NHS services. They offer a Customer Support Team, who are highly trained and offer non clinical telephone support and advice to those with bowel problems including bowel leakage and/or chronic constipation. They have a Home Delivery Service delivering products free of charge and discreetly at the patients convenience. And patients, carers and Healthcare Practitioners can access a nationwide team of field based Nurse Advisors who can provide training and support on using bowel management appliances.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse/Staff Nurse/Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Advisor with considerable continence experience to join their team. Most of your time will be spent seeing patients face to face or online. You will deliver clinical reviews and assessments for patients with bowel management problems and Appliance Use Reviews (AURs) to ensure they are confident and competent using continence appliances. Patients will be referred to you by Healthcare Practitioners including Bladder and Bowel Nurses or Continence Nurse Specialists.

Youll work in partnership with the NHS to set up innovative bowel care services for patients. And deliver training on products and services for Healthcare Professionals

We are looking for a NMC Registered Nurse with colorectal, bowel management or continence experience including those who have worked in GI Wards, Stoma Units, Community or District Nursing or Complex Care/Spinal Injury Nurses, looking to specialise in bowel management

To be considered for this exciting role you will be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RN/RM/RSCN) that meets the followingcriteria;

Level 1 UK Registered Nurse (Adult) or RSCN (Registered Sick Childrens Nurse) or RM (Midwife)

Experienced caring for patients with bowel management problems

Training, coaching, teaching or mentoring others is an advantage

A confident communicator with previous experience setting up NHS services
