An expanding Chartered Public Practice firm in Leeds is looking for an experienced Payroll candidates to join their team and assist with Bookkeeping.

Experience within an Accountancy Practice is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect payroll info and enter into software
  • Calculate wages, commissions, benefits, deductions
  • Maintain accurate payroll records
  • Prepare and distribute payslips
  • Handle RTI submissions
  • Address payroll queries
  • Inform clients of NI and PAYE liabilities
  • Assist with CIS return submissions
  • Enter data in accounting software (Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, etc.)
  • Maintain client records and generate reports
  • Assist with VAT return preparation
  • Aid in month-end and year-end accounts and reporting

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a payroll position and have a full understanding of the payroll process
  • Bookkeeping experience advantageous but not essential as training can be provided
  • Proficient in Sage payroll essential and experience of other online payroll and bookkeeping software would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Able to manage own workload and meet deadlines
