Title: Payroller / Bookkeeper Location: Leeds, LS15Hours: Full-Time Salary: £26,000 - £32,000
An expanding Chartered Public Practice firm in Leeds is looking for an experienced Payroll candidates to join their team and assist with Bookkeeping.
Experience within an Accountancy Practice is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Collect payroll info and enter into software
- Calculate wages, commissions, benefits, deductions
- Maintain accurate payroll records
- Prepare and distribute payslips
- Handle RTI submissions
- Address payroll queries
- Inform clients of NI and PAYE liabilities
- Assist with CIS return submissions
- Enter data in accounting software (Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, etc.)
- Maintain client records and generate reports
- Assist with VAT return preparation
- Aid in month-end and year-end accounts and reporting
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a payroll position and have a full understanding of the payroll process
- Bookkeeping experience advantageous but not essential as training can be provided
- Proficient in Sage payroll essential and experience of other online payroll and bookkeeping software would be beneficial
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Able to manage own workload and meet deadlines
