Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working for a fantastic business in Leeds as they look to recruit a Payroll Specialist into their team on a full time, permanent basis.Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently manage the end-to-end payroll process in accordance with the payroll timetable, using the in-house payroll system (Miracle and Sage50)
  • Liaise with international payroll partners to facilitate accurate payroll processing where applicable
  • Process payroll changes including new joiners, leavers, holiday pay, overtime, absence, and maternity
  • Ensure full compliance with HMRC legislation, including PAYE reporting and statutory obligations
  • Administer employee benefits such as pensions, company vehicles, and life insurance
  • Investigate and reconcile all payroll discrepancies
  • Prepare month-end payroll reports for the Accounts team to support financial reconciliation
  • Produce statutory year-end documents such as P60s and P11Ds
  • Maintain and regularly update payroll process documentation
  • Serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries across the company
  • Provide administrative support to the Payroll and HR teams
  • Audit the payroll and HR systems to ensure accuracy and consistency of data

Person Specification:

  • Experience in processing payroll (PAYE) end-to-end
  • Proficiency in using payroll systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
