Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working for a fantastic business in Leeds as they look to recruit a Payroll Specialist into their team on a full time, permanent basis.Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently manage the end-to-end payroll process in accordance with the payroll timetable, using the in-house payroll system (Miracle and Sage50)
- Liaise with international payroll partners to facilitate accurate payroll processing where applicable
- Process payroll changes including new joiners, leavers, holiday pay, overtime, absence, and maternity
- Ensure full compliance with HMRC legislation, including PAYE reporting and statutory obligations
- Administer employee benefits such as pensions, company vehicles, and life insurance
- Investigate and reconcile all payroll discrepancies
- Prepare month-end payroll reports for the Accounts team to support financial reconciliation
- Produce statutory year-end documents such as P60s and P11Ds
- Maintain and regularly update payroll process documentation
- Serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries across the company
- Provide administrative support to the Payroll and HR teams
- Audit the payroll and HR systems to ensure accuracy and consistency of data
Person Specification:
- Experience in processing payroll (PAYE) end-to-end
- Proficiency in using payroll systems
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
