Senior or Principal Planning Consultant

Leeds

An established environmental consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Planning Consultant to join their growing team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of projects across multiple sectors, providing expert planning consultancy services to a diverse client base.

The Role:

As a key member of the planning team, you will:

  • Lead on planning applications, site promotions, and appeals.
  • Provide expert planning advice to public, private, and third-sector clients.
  • Manage project budgets, invoicing, and financial data.
  • Review and comment on technical reports.
  • Prepare planning applications, including drafting Planning Statements and undertaking site visits.
  • Liaise with consultants, statutory consultees, and Planning Officers.
  • Attend planning committees and public consultation events, where required.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A formal qualification in Town and Country Planning (Degree/Masters/Postgraduate).
  • Full RTPI membership (or eligibility for Chartered status).
  • Strong knowledge of Town & Country Planning regulations in both policy and development management.
  • Relevant experience within the private sector.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits.
