Job title: Project Manager (Technology Implementation)
Location: Hybrid (Hemel Hempstead or Leeds) - remote
Salary: Paying up to 55,000 + public sector pension scheme
Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to lead a high-impact technology implementation? We are exclusively recruiting for a Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of a large-scale Applicant Tracking System (ATS) implementation for a leading public sector organisation.
The Role:
- Lead one of three key workstreams in the ATS implementation project, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Act as the key interface between internal teams and third-party suppliers, managing project governance, risks, and dependencies.
- Oversee business and technology projects, working across waterfall and Agile methodologies to ensure smooth transitions from legacy systems to new solutions.
- Provide effective leadership to multi-disciplinary IT teams, including internal stakeholders and third-party vendors.
- Ensure robust project planning, tracking, and governance, with a focus on benefits realisation and strategic alignment.
- Support the Programme Manager in developing business cases, evaluating tenders, and ensuring all documentation meets governance and compliance requirements.
- Drive the training and rollout of new solutions, ensuring smooth adoption across internal teams and external partners
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in managing large-scale technology projects, particularly within enterprise-wide implementations.
- Expertise in project management methodologies (Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience working with public sector or NHS organisations is highly desirable.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, and Office365 suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
