A leading online healthcare provider, with a significant history of serving patients, is seeking a talented eCommerce Category Merchandiser. This company is undergoing a major transformation of its customer experience and offerings across various divisions, including consumer health, pet care, and online health services. Product categories span a wide range, from medicines and beauty products to electrical goods, food, nutrition, and accessories. The company is focused on evolving and improving its web presence, product selection, and delivery experience.
The eCommerce Merchandiser will play a key role in this transformation, delivering best-in-class web merchandising and experience to customers.
What will the successful candidate be doing?
- Defining, setting up, and executing best-in-class web product merchandising across propositions and categories on the BigCommerce platform.
- Setting up the website taxonomy and search features.
- Identifying and implementing cross and upsell programs, using sales and behavioural data.
- Working with the commercial teams to ensure all product ranges are available to customers.
- Working with digital marketing teams to improve landing page conversion and the efficiency of marketing spend.
- Identifying opportunities to improve key eCommerce metrics (e.g., add to basket, conversion, cross-sell participation, onsite search, checkout success/abandonment).
- Identifying experience improvements in the customer journey throughout the sites (e.g., content, UX/UI, features) to drive sales.
- Managing and publishing content updates (banners, images, copy, videos) to support promotions, events, or campaigns.
- Assisting the wider team to undertake keyword, competitor, and content research.
What are we looking for?
- Proven proficiency in maximizing BigCommerce functionalities for effective merchandising.
- Web/Digital merchandising expertise in a retail environment, either in a pureplay or omnichannel capacity.
- Commercial acumen.
- Results-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with the BigCommerce platform and content management systems.
- Good working knowledge of Google Analytics and other tools in the Google suite.
- Experience in the pet health sector would be advantageous.
- An understanding of Adobe CS to create mock-ups & basic HTML coding & web design experience is a plus.
- Degree or equivalent, ideally in marketing, commerce, digital, creative, or tech.
