These include young people on the Looked After Children Register and will also include some students who have criminal records.

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person who has the ability to be understanding, responsive, calm, supportive and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students. You will work with students, staff and external agencies to support those students through difficult times and ensure that they are safeguarded from harm.

The successful candidate should have a Degree Level qualification or equivalent (ideally in Health and Social Care or Advice and Guidance) and must have completed or be willing to complete the Level 2 Safeguarding training for designated staff and undertake any relevant training associated with the post.  Experience in Prevent, Social Work and familiarity with the Early Help Approach and Strategy is desirable.

  • A 25-day annual leave entitlement, plus 8 Bank Holidays and 10 college closure days
  • A well-respected pension scheme (West Yorkshire Pension Fund with an employer contribution of 18.9%)
  • Free parking at all our College sites (on a first come first served basis)
  • Family friendly policies and opportunities for flexible working
  • Superb opportunities for training and development
  • Discounted travel on public transport and a Cycle to work scheme
  • Discounts and offers at major High Street and Online retailers
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

Please note that all applications should be completed online.  CV’s will not be accepted.
