I am delighted to be working again with NEUPC to bring on board a new Assistant Category Manager (ACM). NEUPC are one of eight UK Higher Education purchasing consortia which has been established to deliver and manage a wide range of collaborative framework agreements.Whether you are looking for the next step in your career or are a procurement professional, this could be the role for you!The ACM will support the Category Managers with their management of categories across a range of NEUPC procurement portfolios. This role is interesting and varied as you will be leading and supporting a variety of tasks to support the contractual activities for the business that fall under a range of categories and contracting activities.Please see further details below;Job Title: Assistant Category ManagerSalary: £36,585Working pattern: Hybrid working (currently 1 day per week onsite, 4 days WFH)Office Location: Phoenix House, 3 South Parade, Leeds LS1 5QRole:• Support Category Managers in developing sourcing strategies and procurement plans that meet member needs and deliver cost savings• Assist in preparing and managing procurement documents and framework agreements• Build strong relationships with members and stakeholders, offering insights, gathering feedback, and driving continuous improvement• Contract manage Framework Agreements with suppliers and members, to ensure they deliver maximum value for money.Benefits:• Hybrid working (currently 1 day minimum in Leeds office per week)• Generous holiday allowance of 38 days, including bank holidays and closure days• Defined pension contribution• Optional Health Care InsuranceIndividual:• Working experience in Procurement, with knowledge of Public Contracting Regulations preferred but not essential• Work independently but also adapt well to team working requirements• Excited by the opportunity of working in the fast-developing Higher Education procurement environment
