Elevation Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a leading wholesale business in Leeds to recruit a Senior Buyer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to join a dynamic team in a growing organisation.
The Role:As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing of products from the Far East, ensuring the best balance of cost, quality, and lead time. You will play a key role in supplier management, negotiating contracts, and driving efficiencies within the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for products from the Far East, ensuring competitiveness and supply continuity.
- Identify, assess, and onboard new suppliers while managing and developing existing supplier relationships.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve commercial objectives.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align purchasing strategies with business needs.
- Monitor market trends, risks, and opportunities to ensure a proactive approach to procurement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in a Senior Buyer or Procurement role within the wholesale sector.
- Strong experience in sourcing from the Far East, including supplier negotiations and contract management.
- Excellent commercial acumen with a strategic approach to procurement.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A results-driven mindset with a focus on cost savings and supply chain efficiencies.
