You will be working as part of a wider UK sales & marketing team, reporting to the Property Manager and responsible for the leasing of our brand new property, and supporting local marketing across the city. You will be the local expert, leading and mentoring a student staff team to drive prospect traffic, close leases, and reach the occupancy goal of the property or portfolio. Your role is pivotal to driving the overall performance of the portfolio, ensuring a world class consumer brand experience.

Your Role

  • Responsible for the successful lease-up of your property.
  • Process and manage all booking administration efficiently and with care and attention to detail, ensuring the data of the customers is always treated with the utmost respect and compliance.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the local University picture, competitors and where your assets rank relative to the comp set.
  • Be expert in your knowledge of the leasing performance of your property; attending the routine calls/meetings well prepared to discuss performance.
  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly sales reporting is completed in a detailed and timely manner.
  • Encourage and reward the input and ideas of your team to develop the leasing plan for your markets. Ensure every member of your team, regardless of their discipline understands how their role contributes to the leasing performance of your property.
  • Set clear objectives for your team and ensure a routine is in place to regularly review performance and behaviors for each team member.
  • Develop strong, meaningful relationships with institutions in your cities; in particular, the Accommodation Office, International Office, Student Union and Welfare teams.
  • Assess the re-booking eligibility in your property on a routine basis, to ensure you and your team are clear on the potential retention you can achieve.
  • Complete weekly and monthly local marketing plans to ensure the HQ team is always up to date on local sales & marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate, staff and attend housing fairs, freshers’ fairs and other local events to promote the property.
  • Draft and propose local content for the company social media accounts.
  • Assist in the turnover process by completing all tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Property Manager.

Your Track Record

  • Sales or Marketing experience in the UK Student Accommodation industry (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of cross-platform advertising sales, marketing, events and related research
  • Proven ability to develop and implement creative, strategic, revenue-driving sales and marketing initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills including public speaking and written communications
  • Proven success in a sales environment directly impacting on revenue
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and CRM systems (Hubspot preferred)
  • Familiarity working with a property management or bookings system (preferred)
