We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate experience of successfully leading and managing Development and Regeneration Projects for Public Sector and Private Sector Clients.

Candidates should have a good understanding of planning, viability, the process of design development, procurement, project delivery and the functionality of multi-disciplinary teams.

As our Development Manager you will be responsible for:

Managing the delivery of development / regeneration projects through the various development phases;
Managing multi-disciplinary project teams and reporting back to Clients;
Assessing development sites in the context of planning and feasibility / viability studies;
Assessment and identification of site constraints and opportunities;
Managing the procurement of professional teams on a range of development projects;
Procure suitable supporting information e.g. surveys, reports, assessments etc. required for the successful development of projects;
Support the preparation of land and build contracts.
Arranging and attending pre-application meetings with Local Authorities;
Co-ordinating the planning application process with planning consultants;
Managing existing and new relationships with Local Authority and Private Sector Clients;
Engaging in consultation exercises with Local Authority councillors, politicians and the local community;
Support in the management of Company and Client budgets
Instructing residual appraisals for development schemes;
Instructing financial viability appraisals (FVA) and development appraisals

What We Are Looking For

3+ years' experience in a Development Management role or similar in terms of project delivery;
Knowledge and understanding of the property development industry;
Knowledge and understanding of the planning process;
MRICS, MRTPI or equivalent qualification;
Proficient across all Microsoft Office platforms;
Experience in using MS Project or equivalent;
Excellent communication analytical and organisational skills;
Experience of leading and managing development and regeneration projects
Experience of working within a consultancy or client organisation;
Confident and able to manage clients and project teams;
Confident and able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and relevant members of project teams;
Ability to resolve problems in collaboration with other team members
Ability to clearly articulate project needs on a scheme by scheme basis;
Ability to effectively manage time and ensure deadlines are achieved;
Commitment, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic;
