National Accounts Manager
60,000 PA - 70,000 PA DOE
Simon Acres Recruitment is seeking a National Accounts Manager on behalf of a leading company in the KBB industry. This role is an opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking business, working with key housebuilder clients to drive growth and manage high-value accounts.
Job Purpose
Develop relationships with existing housebuilder customers and drive new customer acquisition. Manage and progress enquiries from tender through to providing accurate and complete handovers to the installation team. Promote products and service propositions, maximising revenue and margin through proactive selling techniques, adding value, and meeting customer expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Account Development
- Build positive relationships at all levels across group and regional housebuilder contacts
- Agree and implement a customer-specific growth strategy
- Increase pipeline value and conversion through agreed strategy and influence
- Develop key account plans including targets and goals
- Work with key contacts to develop new solutions to add value
- Drive growth of revenue and margin
Business Planning and Reporting
- Produce annual sales forecast and territory targets
- Develop an annual business plan to support delivery of sales forecast
- Report on activity via CRM system
- Provide enquiry-level intelligence for key customers
- Report progress and opportunities to the business and other key stakeholders
Sales Cycle Management
- Review and own enquiry updates through to outcome
- Provide commercial intelligence on pricing proposals and enquiry outcomes
- Arrange samples and show homes as necessary
Other Responsibilities
- Negotiate price increases and manage pricing where applicable
- Maintain strong market and competitor knowledge
Previous Experience and Key Skills
Previous Experience
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets
- Strong sales performance
- Knowledge of route to market
- Experience in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom industry is an advantage
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
Key Skills
- Strong networking ability at all levels
- Multi-level solution selling
- Business acumen and commercial awareness
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Reporting and Management Information
- Ensure internal KPIs are met and address root causes where necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date internal systems
- Provide regular objective reporting on a weekly and monthly basis
