A manufacturing business based in Leeds is looking to grow their sales team. They have a stable team of 6 employees in sales and are looking for a proactive salesperson to support the growth plans of the company.

The vacancy will come with a small number of accounts and some leads are passed from enquiries with the company. The purpose of the vacancy will be to forge new relationships through your own sales activity and account manage to gain repeat business. This vacancy is an internal role with travel, and you will be office based when not out in the field.

Job Purpose

  • To account manage established customers to maximise future sales
  • To win new business opportunities throughout the UK.
  • To build and maintain relationships with clients both existing and new.
  • Develop client relationships ranging from main contractors, & project management.

Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions
  • Face to face meetings with prospective and current clients
  • Following up on leads which you will generate and have provided
  • Prospecting and acquiring new business accounts
  • Quoting for and winning orders
  • Phone calls to establish prospective clients to generate leads

Essential Skills & qualification

  • An ambitious, determined, self-starter
  • Drive to seek new business and exceed targets
  • UK driving licence & willing to travel throughout the UK
  • Excellent telephone manner and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent computer skills, and experience with Excel and CRM software and ABI Barbour or similar software packages.
  • Previous experience in construction sales or working for a manufacturer on projects or specifications would be a distinct advantage.

In return you will receive

  • A basic Salary of £38,000 - £45,000
  • OTE £70,000 based on performance
  • 23 Days Holiday + Statutory Bank Holidays

  • 9am - 5.30pm Monday – Thursday (Friday 5pm finish)
