We have been instructed to recruit a Sales Engineer for a manufacturing company with offices in both the UK and US.

Our client is a manufacturer of power supply products, including transformers, converters and rectifiers, and they are looking to appoint an experienced Sales Engineer to drive sales growth.The main purpose of this role will be to carry out new business development activities and convert new customers.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years technical sales experience within the electronics industry, and a proven track record in sales demonstrating new business conversion. This client cannot offer sponsorship on this role, so you will need to hold full eligibility to work in the UK to be considered.The successful appointee will receive a good basic salary plus commission (uncapped).

This position can be based from anywhere in the UK, and is expected to be a combination of home based working and meetings in the field (approx 3 days a week travelling to client visits). The successful candidate will be covering the UK territory.

Responsibilities:

- New business development activities; prospect and convert new accounts and develop new markets, needs based selling to customers, attending industry conferences seminars and trade shows, visiting clients in assigned territory, tailoring proposals to clients

- Meeting and exceeding KPI's

- Maintaining an up to date sales forecast and list of projects

- Updating company CRM 

- Managing inherited / assigned accounts within territory

- Stay up to date with product lines, industry trends, market etc.

Skills & Experience required:

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (desirable)

- Minimum 3 years experience in technical sales or sales engineering position

- Proven track record in sales 

- Full driving license and access to own vehicle.
