Pastoral and Behaviour Support Assistant

Full-time / temporary to permanent contract

NextGen Teachers currently recruiting for a Pastoral and Behaviour Teaching Assistant for a Primary school based in Leeds, LS11. The school are looking for a Pastoral and Behaviour Teaching Assistant who can support students across KS1 and KS2. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 3:30pm daily. This role is a contract for a period of 12 weeks with a view of becoming permanent after this point.

The school is looking for passionate and enthusiastic candidates who have a background in working with children with Special Educational Needs and Mental Health Needs. This role will involve supporting classes of students as well as students on a 1-2-1 level who are at high-risk of crisis and require supportive intervention.

Due to the students level of need candidates for this role must be passionate about making a difference and supporting vulnerable students. This role involves a high level of behaviour management and candidates applying must have an understanding of how to effectively manage behaviour in the classroom.

Successful applications will have:

  • Minimum Level 2/3 Qualification
  • Previous professional or personal experience with Special Educational Needs and Mental Health
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
  • Full-time availability
