Job Description:

Our client, a fantastic Primary School in South Leeds, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Inclusion Support Worker to join our team, focusing on Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the inclusion and educational development of all pupils, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils with SEND, ensuring they have access to the full curriculum.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel valued and supported.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of tailored interventions and activities to meet the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support pupils in developing social skills, independence, and confidence.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive support for pupils.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in EYFS and KS1.
  • Knowledge of SEND and experience in implementing support strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
