Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

Overview:We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School team in Leeds. The role involves providing assistance in the classroom and working closely with educators to enhance the learning experience for children.

Requirements:

- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs

- Strong communication skills both with children and adults

- Understanding of special education practices and strategies for working with diverse learning needs

Roles:- Ability to educate and support students effectively in a classroom setting- Compassionate approach towards supporting students with autism spectrum disorder

- Support teachers in delivering tailored educational activities for students with special needs- Assist in implementing individual education plans and monitoring progress- Provide one-to-one mentoring and tutoring for students requiring additional support- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students, including those with autism spectrum disorder- Aid in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe and supportive setting for learning
