Schools that we represent in Leeds need a compassionate, patient and empathetic individual with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, in particular those with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Physical Disabilities (PD). At Hays Education we are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with care work to support our Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in Leeds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support with manual handling, care, changing and feeding.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support each child's development.
- Engage in physically active tasks to support students' needs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children and/or adults with special educational needs in the UK.
- Experience in manual handling, care, changing, and feeding.
- A proactive and resilient attitude.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
