Special Educational Needs Support Assistant - Year 4 (Leeds)

Accelerate Teaching are seeking an experienced and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant to join a two-form entry primary school in Leeds. This full-time role is centred around providing tailored support to a Year 1 child diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

In this role, you will be supporting a child navigate their educational journey and will work closely with the classroom teacher, SENCO, and other support staff to implement effective behaviour management strategies, ensuring that the child can fully engage in their learning environment.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • One-on-one support, adapting teaching methods to meet the child's unique needs.
  • Fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages academic and social growth.
