Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant (Early Years)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Supply (through Career Teachers initially with the view of going permanent)

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team, working with early years students who have autism. This is a full-time supply position with Career Teachers initially, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to early years students with autism, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist in the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students in developing social, communication, and academic skills.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
