This store provides an exciting array of luxury products and a premium experience with their carefully edited collection of their European merchandise including handbags, accessories & luggage.
The Role
The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations and managing the sales team's activities. They deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining a positive company image to drive sales and profitability. The Assistant Manager also works with the Store Manager to implement company policies and procedures and takes charge of the store in the Manager's absence.
Responsibilities of this Assistant Manager position -
- Provide professional advice and product demonstrations to ensure a positive and welcoming shopping experience for customers.
- Stay well-informed about store layout, product range, and stock availability.
- Process transactions efficiently and in line with company procedures.
- Handle refunds and exchanges in accordance with company guidelines.
- Ensure staff are fully informed about sales promotions, incentives, and product brochures.
- Motivate the team through regular training, performance assessments, and promotion opportunities.
- Regularly update the Store Manager on merchandise status, including fast/slow sellers, stock deficiencies, and customer trends.
- Oversee daily banking procedures, ensuring all administration is kept up to date.
- Ensure store and till keys are secured, and alarms are activated when appropriate, following security protocols.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order within the store.
To be successful in this Assistant Manager position-
- Ideally having experience as assistant, deputy, floor or department manager in retail, fashion, luxury sector.
- Proficient in IT
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and frequent lifting of luggage weighing up to 15 kilos
- Capable of working effectively under pressure
- Collaborative team player and strong management skills
- Results-oriented with a focus on targets
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Strong command of the English language
- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
