Significant logistics and shipping training offered

A leading IT service provider is seeking a Shipping and Buying Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis. This pivotal position involves managing stock movements and shipping requirements, including goods in, stock management, customer project allocations, and post-configuration shipping. This role supports multiple internal teams and is essential in maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the receipt of all goods delivered to the site

* Manage stock control of fast-moving items and consumables

* Reserve and issue stock for customer projects

* Implement processes to enhance efficiency in stores and shipping

* Process and log supplier returns

* Conduct monthly stock checks, report, and investigate discrepancies

* Arrange the removal and disposal of old IT equipment, including onsite destruction

* Pack goods for dispatch, preparing and completing dispatch documentation

* Coordinate logistics, including transport arrangements and international shipment administration

* Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs

* Update and report on delivery and dispatch information to measure performance

* Track all shipments in line with reporting metrics

* Conduct account reviews with third-party logistics suppliers

* Notify procurement of significant service issues or contractual and commercial challenges

* Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs regulations, and health and safety requirements

Person Specification:

* Excellent communication, coordinating, planning, and organisational skills

* Ability to develop strong working relationships internally and externally

* 1-2 years of experience in a stores or shipping role is highly advantageous

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel and Word

* Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP would be beneficial

* Able to work at a fast pace, processing quickly but accurately with the ability to multitask

Paying £23,000 - £30,000 PA plus excellent benefits.
