Our client is looking for a TIG welder to complete work in South Leeds on behalf of one of their clients. They specialise in the food and beverages industry and so the work is stainless steel and will entail the following duties:

  • Carry out manufacture and assembly of products in accordance with drawings and specifications
  • Welding/fabricating components and assemblies
  • Identify and report any defects
  • Identify any opportunities to reduce production costs and timescales
  • Flag up any shortfalls in raw materials or components that are likely to cause delays
  • Maintenance of accurate documentary evidence of works processes

In order to carry out the above, the successful candidate is expected to have experience of the following:

  • Mechanical assembly
  • Pipe forming / fitting /assembly
  • Welding / fabricating experience
  • Experience of TIG welding, particularly stainless steel
  • Knowledge of welding equipment, processes, etc
  • Ability to work from schematic drawings
  • Knowledge and experience of basic assembly techniques including crimping, wiring, press fit jointing etc.

This role would suit an experienced Welder and PAYE terms or limited company contractor can be accommodated, hence the flexibility in the rate.
