Our client, an engineering leading manufacturer in Oldhamare looking to recruit an experienced Goods In/Out indivualto join the business on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a Goods In/Out Store and will be able to manage their own area.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

To manage the Stores Operations covering: Goods In; Despatch and material co-ordination ensuring that the site demands are met in accordance with Health, Safety and Environment requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for warehouse processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee the goods-in process, ensuring all deliveries are checked thoroughly and stored as per company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee regular stock checks
  • Responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of all incoming goods.
  • Manage inventory levels, and contribute to the smooth flow of goods
  • Ensure optimal use of storage space and maintain efficient stock rotation to minimize wastage.
  • Ensure that all goods received are checked and handled efficiently and stored appropriately,
  • Address any issues related to damaged or incorrect goods
  • Ensure the stores area is kept clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage waste disposal processes and ensure adherence to environmental standards.
  • Ensure all stock is moved from production in time to prevent loss of time
  • Ensure all stock is stored appropriated and traceability is maintained

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQURIED:

  • Full FLT Licence mandatory for this role
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on operational improvement and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with stock management systems and quality control procedures is a plus.
