Do you want to work for a dynamic business in Leicester?We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Accommodation Manager to join our client's team in Leicester. This role supports the Accommodation Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the site, focusing on sales, customer care, health and safety, and site management. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with strong leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Collaborate with the Accommodation Manager to achieve sales, renewals, and referral targets.
- Support site open days and tours.
- Maintain brand standards through site maintenance, staff communication, and online presence.
People Management:
- Line manage remote teams including maintenance, painters, parcel assistants, security, and cleaners.
- Oversee daily office functions and lead in the absence of the Accommodation Manager.
- Coach and train team members.
Health & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety policies, ANUK accreditation, and risk management.
- Support statutory testing and ensure staff and residents are aware of safety procedures.
- Manage incident response and refuse management.
Customer Care/Public Relations:
- Drive effective and friendly customer communication.
- Address student issues and welfare concerns, mediating as necessary.
- Promote renewals, positive reviews, and referrals.
Site Operations:
- Support site maintenance management and lead the turnaround process.
- Maintain site systems including fob entry, CCTV, and visitor logs.
Administration:
- Manage tenant applications, damage deposit schemes, and Council Tax correspondence.
- Handle complaints, compliments, and tenant welfare issues.
Financial Management:
- Oversee accounting, collection, and recording of all monies received.
- Manage site debt and stock control.
Additional Information:
- The role may require irregular hours and tasks of a similar nature may be assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in accommodation management or a similar field.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
