Audit & Accounts Senior Accountant Job Vacancy

This exceptionally well-regarded firm of accountants in Leicester is seeking an Audit and Accounts Senior to enjoy an enhanced level of study support, a market beating rewards package and a very bright professional future indeed!

If you have several years experience of working in a UK accountancy firm, some supervisory experience and you have some experience of contributing towards the audit process as well as general accounting tasks, we want to hear from you!

You'll be a team-player, motivated and ambitious and you'll be looking to find a role with a firm who are committed to providing a high level of service and accurate financial information.

Job Purpose

  • Preparation of statutory and financial statements.
  • Supporting the senior team with the preparation of audits.
  • Preparation of tax returns and assessments for a range of organisational structures.
  • Assist with VAT returns.
  • Rental accounts.
  • Bookkeeping.
  • Manage workflow and ensure client work is completed and delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner.
  • Supervise junior team members offering coaching and mentoring.
  • Liaise with HMRC on client matters.
  • Liaise with clients, attending meetings and helping with queries.
  • Support with general accountancy services and business advice.
  • Work closely with senior team members.
  • Promote and strive for customer service excellence.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.

Job Requirements

  • AAT/ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • Some experience of audit.
  • Good basic knowledge across accountancy services and some experience of working in UK practice.
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Personable and friendly.
